Our Speech Pathologists have extensive experience working with children and adults with complex eating, drinking, communication and literacy needs. All of our Speech Pathologists are certified practising members of Speech Pathology Australia and engage in regular training and supervision to maintain up to date skills, knowledge and best practice.

Jessica established Voicebox Speech Pathology in March 2014. Jessica is an experienced Speech Pathologist who has had extensive experience working with children and adults with complex speech, language and communication delays and disorders, and eating and drinking difficulties throughout her career.

Since graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2004, Jessica worked in the public sector at Ageing, Disability & Home Care (ADHC) for over 9 years providing community based services to children and adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities.

Jessica has a special interest in providing services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities who have complex communication and/or swallowing difficulties and who may also have coexisting mental health or behavioural challenges. Jessica has worked with adolescents and adults involved with the criminal justice system and has provided evidence of capacity for Guardianship Tribunal hearings.

Jessica believes that everyone, no matter what their age, skill level or past experience, is able to learn and develop further skills with individualised assistance.

Jessica is passionate about providing quality, evidence-based, individualised services to all age groups. All staff of Voicebox Speech Pathology share this passion and engage in regular training and supervision to maintain up to date skills, knowledge and best practice.

Voicebox Speech Pathology is pleased to welcome Rachel, the newest member of the team. Rachel is an enthusiastic and passionate Speech Pathologist who is committed to helping children and adults reach their communication goals.

Since graduating from the University of Newcastle, Rachel started her career working as a school-based Speech Pathologist within a community of schools in the Lake Macquarie area. In this role Rachel provided speech and language assessment and intervention services to students ranging from preschool to year 2 in a mainstream classroom setting. Rachel has experience working alongside Teachers, School Learning & Support Officers (SLSO) and Executive Staff to plan and implement programs that align with the school curriculum.

Rachel is currently working part-time in the public sector at Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) on the Central Coast. Rachel has been providing community based services to children and adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. Rachel is passionate about providing quality support to people living with disability that experience communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

Rachel is interested in encompassing all areas of the Speech Pathology profession and intent on providing best evidence-based practice to all families. Rachel is always seeking out professional training and development to enhance her skills and experience. Rachel is trained in Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD), Managing Speech Sound Disorders in children and is a Qualified Key Word Sign NSW Presenter and Committee Member.
